Humana’s Corporate Communications team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Communications Pro to join working remote anywhere nationwide. We are looking for someone with strong experience leading business and/or healthcare communications that possesses expertise in external and internal corporate communications, including reputational management, public affairs, media relations, writing, editing, storytelling, and more. Key Role Functions
+ Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies for internal and external audiences
+ Collaborate with C-suite executives and their teams to create effective communication plans, campaigns and strategies aligned with business objectives
+ Write and edit various communication materials, such as speeches, presentations, talking points, factsheets, press releases, advisories, media pitches, and social media content
+ Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and priorities
+ Provide strategic communications counsel for events, programs, and during challenging circumstances, including change and or issues/ crisis management
+ Develop creative communication approaches to engage target audiences
+ Research complex health related topics to simplify messaging and framing on key healthcare topics such as Medicare Advantage, Medicare/ Medicaid, Value-based care, AI, health equity, and more
+ Address critical healthcare topics with understanding and sensitivity, including public sentiment, trends, legal matters, and healthcare policy
+ Utilize a data-driven approach to communications, curating performance metrics, media monitoring, and KPIs
+ Collaborate with external PR agencies and generate original communication ideas
+ Conduct interviews with leaders, staff, business partners, and community members
+ Support investor relations communications as needed
To be successful in this role, you must have the ability to work independently and take initiative while collaborating with management and teams. Being adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines is also a must.

Required Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree or higher in communications, journalism, public relations, or related field
+ 8 or more years of experience in media (reporting/editing/on-air) and/or public relations
+ 2 or more years of project leadership experience
+ Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
+ Strong editorial writing skills
+ Familiarity with new media platforms and tactics and their role in creating effective communication strategies
+ Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse personalities
Preferred Qualifications
+ Background in health care communications

+ Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
+ Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$102,200 – $140,700 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
