Responsibilities:
  • Answer Parts phones quickly and professionally and in a friendly manner. Treat all customers with the respect they deserve with the determination to give the customer the best service they have ever received.
  • Reading customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped.
  • Moving materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.
  • Sorting and placing materials, parts, or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to numerical product number or code.
  • Filling requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to shipping or to designated route driver storage area.
  • Assembling customer orders from stock and places, orders on pallets or shelves, or relocating orders to a holding area or shipping department.
  • Must follow through with parts ordered, back ordered, and special orders to ensure the customer is notified and parts are delivered in a timely fashion.
  • Must ensure that all returns are handled quickly and credit given in a timely manner.
  • Marking materials with identifying information using appropriate method.
  • Recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program.
  • Assist with inventory.
  • Weighing and counting items for distribution within department to ensure conformance to company standards.
  • Ensuring warehouse is clean, organized and safe for all related traffic.
  • Requisition supplies from other departments and or alerting management of needed items before running out.
  • Preparing parcels for mailing.
  • Comply with all regulatory safety standards.
Qualifications:
  • Required one to two years of experience
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • CDK parts experience preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Must have some knowledge of Microsoft Office and familiarity with Outlook email, excel, and word.
  • Must be self-motivated and Goal Oriented.
  • Have good communication skills.
  • Must be detail oriented.
Certifications: All parts counter personnel must be able to pass and achieve certifications for:
  • DOT Hazardous Materials
  • Forklift Safety Certification
